Botho University is one of the few tertiary institutions that have adopted the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standard since 2013. The effectiveness of the BU Quality Management system (QMS) is monitored through a process of both internal and external quality auditing.
From the 19th to the 21st of September 2022, the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) conducted a Surveillance Audit on BU. The outcomes of the preliminary report indicated that BU’s Quality Management System is robust, well-maintained, and exceeds the Standard. The BOBS preliminary report highlights several commendations and only four non-conformities, three minor and only one major, a significant improvement from the audit carried out last year.
