A Successful ‘No Boring Event’ for Lesotho Campus

The Students Affairs and Alumni Department (SAAD) organized an information session for first-year students, introducing them to the various functions of the department. These functions include counseling, sports coordination, and student welfare.

The event featured two guest speakers who provided much-needed motivation and inspiration: Nthati Phakoe from Tuna Safiri Mental Health Agency and Seitebatso Khomari from KhomaAfrican. During the event, Mr. Nako Ts’enoli, Assistant Manager for SAAD, presented the Botho Graduate Profile to the students.

Additionally, Mrs. Achumanila January, Manager for SAAD, launched the Career Growth Passport, which generated excitement among the students. Career Growth Passport (CGP) is a unique programme designed to help BU students develop essential employability skills.

The 36-page CGP offers annual tasks to boost specific skills, self-improvement exercises, and confidence-building strategies. It even includes a “slam book” section for friends to write encouraging notes. Students can also win exclusive prizes for their participation. The CGP Book is for first-year students in Botswana and Lesotho to study the impact of comprehensive career guidance, training, mentorship, and support.
