Botho University (BU) Faculty of Engineering and Technology through the Department of Applied Sciences hosted a three-day conference to celebrate Africa Science Week 2022 at the University of Botswana (UB). The conference was hosted in collaboration with the Next Einstein Forum (NEF) Ambassador for Botswana, Dr Dikabo Mogopodi, African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), the Organization of Women in Science for the Developing World Botswana (OWSD-BW), and Botswana Academy of Science (BAS).

BU hosted the second day of the conference where they were presentations of local and African region postgraduates and early-career scientists presenting their research work. The main of this conference was to encourage Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers in African youth and to provide support to young African scientists. The conference is one of the initiatives BU strives to support the digitisation and industrialisation of Botswana.
