On Wednesday, 15th November 2023, Athabasca University, a prominent Canadian public research institution specialising in online distance education, paid a visit to Botho University’s Lesotho Campus. The delegation consisted of two computing students, accompanied by a tutor.
The purpose of the visit was to facilitate a greet-and-meet session between representatives of Athabasca University and select senior staff and students from Botho University’s Faculty of Engineering & Technology. During this interaction, the two institutions engaged in fruitful discussions regarding their common interests, particularly focusing on the realm of challenge-driven education (CDE).
The event highlight was the presentation of projects by Botho University students, showcasing their accomplishments in challenge-driven education. These projects received commendation from the Canadian team, further strengthening the bond between the two institutions and emphasizing their shared commitment to excellence in the field.
