Botho University students participated in the Cyber Security Challenge which was organised by the Cyber Security Capacity Center of Southern Africa on the 12 – 13 October 2021. The topic of the challenge was “Attack on the E-commerce Industry Systems” with various Universities from across Southern Africa presenting their cybey policy briefs.
The competition aims to provide a platform for young African talent to develop and implement effective cyber security policies and it helps them develop the necessary skills in addressing the various challenges related to cyber security. It involved teams from various Universities in Southern Africa which composed of 12 teams of 32 students tasked with playing the role of Senior Advisors to the high government officials and senior policymakers dealing with cybersecurity.
The BU team, “Eswatini Communi Spys” consisted of four (4) students namely Khaya Ntshalintshali, Londiwe Tsela, Dejee Du-pont , Michael Musimike and their team coach Mr. Emmanuel L. Howe.
