Dominik Andraszek, a third-year student of Media Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, is on an exchange programme at Botho University Botswana. Andraszek is thrilled about the opportunity to expand his horizons with the help of his peers and strives to find solutions that would benefit the local community.
His area of study at KTH Royal Institute of Technology is Human-Computer Interaction and making various applications user-friendly. At BU, he will take two classes on Innovation for Sustainable Development and C++ Programming, which will allow him to put his knowledge to use in real-world situations.
Apart from academics, Andraszek is keen on exploring the local culture in Botswana by visiting the Okavango Delta and Khama Rhino Sanctuary. He is also excited about trying local dishes such as traditional pounded meat (seswaa) and mophane worms. Andraszek encourages other students to participate in the exchange programme and make the most out of the experience.
