BU Successfully hosts the 10th Annual Botho University International Research Conference (BUIRC)

    BU hosted an insightful and successful 10th Botho University International Research Conference (BUIRC) on the 25th of November 2022. This year’s theme was “Beyond the Horizon: Reimagining a Sustainable Future.” The conference brought together academics, professionals, captains of industry regulators, the Government, and representatives of international businesses.

    In her welcome remarks, BU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sheela Raja Ram said, “Our role as educators is creating a sustainable future through research and innovation.”

    Dr. Neil Fassina, President of the International Council for Distance and Open Education from Rotman School of Business-University of Toronto, was the keynote speaker and the guest speaker was Prof. Abejide Ade-Ibijola, an expert in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Johannesburg.

    This year’s BUIRC attracted participants from 36 countries across the globe with over 650 participants making the conference a huge success.
