Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), in collaboration with Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), celebrated Drone Awareness Day on the 20th April 2023. As the event’s guest speaker, Ontiretse Bagwasi, Lead Trainer and Pilot for the BIUST Commercial Drones Team gave a captivating and stimulating presentation.
Bagwasi began his presentation by outlining the various types of drones and their capabilities. He also discussed the potential of drones to conduct surveys and collect data in an efficient, cost-effective, and safe manner.
The presentation and demonstration of drones by the BIUST team and SkyTech served as an excellent opportunity for knowledge sharing and networking between the two institutions.
