    Girls for girls courageous leadership session

    Girls for Girls Mentorship Programme continues as last week they held their second session themed ’Courageous Leadership’ hosted by Student Affairs and Alumni Department (SAAD). The session explored the meaning of being a courageous leader during turbulent times and making a meaningful impact on the world.

    The session was jam-packed with activities including giving the girls an opportunity to define traits of a good leader, which they explained as; a good leader listens, mentors and paves the way for other leaders, confident, one of the girls’ outstanding explanations was that a good leader is a critical thinker, visionary and problem solver.

    The guest speaker for the second session was the Founder and Director of The Neo Hub innovation Lab, Ms Zindzi Letsididi, a 100% citizen innovation lab that aims to provide a one-stop-shop for innovative entrepreneurship with an intentional interest in developing and propelling stakeholders towards being sustainable vital players. Ms Letsididi has worked as a business consultant assisting companies with their growth strategies and process optimization.

    Bachelor of Science (Hons) Health Information Management student and mentee, Ms Sharon Gabaatholwe praised the Girls for Girls programme, “It has taught me that self-confidence, self-esteem and perseverance are the essential underpinnings of success.”
