Student & Alumni Affairs Department (SAAD) hosted Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Strategy), Botho University and Head of Deal Flow, Angel Network Botswana, Mr Ananth Ram in an entrepreneurship activation session to share his experiences on Angel Investment. Angel Network Botswana (ANB) is a network of business angels seeking to invest their personal funds into growth-oriented businesses and start-ups with exciting products and services in Botswana.
The informative session was hosted via Zoom and streamed live on the Botho University’s Facebook page to enthusiastic students and alumni in the entrepreneurship space. Mr Ram noted that angel investment was a fairly new model in Botswana and highlighted that the funding also included access to mentorship and networks, unlike traditional funding models.
